Tantra in the Himalayas. Tea ceremony. Ancient music. 7 days that change everything.
Dali is not a coincidence. For over 1,300 years, this ancient city at the foot of Mount Cangshan has been a gathering place for seekers, mystics, artists, and healers — people drawn here by something they couldn’t quite name. Something about the mountains. Something about the quality of silence. Something about the way life here moves at the rhythm of the heart, not the clock.
We chose Dali for our True Nature of Love retreat not simply because it is beautiful — though it is extraordinarily so — but because China’s living wisdom traditions carry within them the very foundations of what Tantra teaches: that love is not something you seek outside yourself. It is the ground beneath your feet. It is the breath in your lungs. It is the ancient tea in your cup, offered with full presence by hands that have done this ten thousand times before.
This 7-day immersive retreat is for singles and couples at all levels — from complete beginners to those deepening an existing practice. You will be met exactly where you are, and gently guided somewhere you didn’t know you could reach.
Why China. Why Now. Why This Retreat.
The morning mist rolling off Erhai Lake. The local aunties who have been making rose cakes by hand since before you were born. The thousand-year-old Puer tea that asks you to slow down, stay, and be still. The Bai people’s culture of warmth and generosity that wraps around you like a second skin.
We have crafted this 7-day retreat so that the land, the culture, and the Tantra teachings form one seamless experience. By the time you leave, you will not be able to separate what you learned in the practice room from what you felt walking through the ancient town at dusk. It all becomes one thing. It all becomes love.
The Rose of Dali — A Daily Ritual of Love
For seven days, this isn’t just a place you’ll visit. It is the place you’ll call home with love.
Here, the rose is more than a flower. It is a symbol of love, beauty, and the gentle reminder to honor your own heart. Each morning, you’ll receive a fresh rose, an invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.
You’ll also experience one of Dali’s most beloved traditions: handmade rose cakes. Crafted daily by local aunties using freshly picked roses, each cake is an expression of warmth and hospitality, a simple reminder that life is meant to be savored and shared. You’ll even have the opportunity to learn this beautiful tradition yourself and make your own rose cakes by hand.
The Tea That Has Been Waiting 30 Years for You
In China, tea is more than a drink. For over 5,000 years, it has been a sacred ritual of presence, connection, and gratitude.
During the retreat, you’ll experience a traditional Chinese tea ceremony with Raw Puer tea harvested in 1992 from ancient tea trees that have stood for thousands of years. With every sip, you’ll taste not only the richness of the tea, but also the wisdom and patience of nature itself.
After each round of tea, we sit together in silence, allowing the body and mind to settle. In that stillness, memories may arise, emotions may soften, or you may simply experience the rare gift of being fully present.

Why People Come
You Were Never Taught How to Love Fully
You didn’t come here by accident. Something in you has been asking a question that ordinary life hasn’t been able to answer. This retreat was built for exactly that question — whatever shape it takes for you.
Disconnected from Your Body
Living entirely in the mind, cut off from sensation, instinct, and the deep intelligence of your own body — unable to fully feel, rest, or be present.
Intimacy Feels Complicated
You want deep, authentic connection — but fear, old wounds, or habitual patterns keep you at a distance from the love you most desire.
The Spark Has Faded
Whether in relationship or within yourself — the aliveness, curiosity and passion that once felt natural now seems distant, replaced by routine and numbness.
Shame Around Sexuality
You carry conditioning, guilt, or confusion around desire, pleasure, and your own sexuality — making it hard to experience love freely and fully.
Searching for Something Real
You’ve read the books, tried the apps, attended workshops — yet something deeper still feels missing. A genuine, embodied experience of transformation.
Longing to Be Truly Seen
To be held, witnessed, and loved without performance or pretence — within a safe community of people committed to authentic growth.
There are people who talk about changing. And there are people who go to Dali.
Receive a comprehensive, thorough, integrated emotional, relational and sensual education.
Learn how to receive and share the heart-based love you have been chasing.
Discover the true nature of bodily energy and how you can harvest that as the source of your creativity and power.
Shift your relationships from fear to trust by exploring your deepest longings around intimacy, love, and partnership.
Experience what it means to be held within a loving tribe — bringing our most isolated parts back into connection.
Deepen your experience of intimacy, connection, and creative life force through self-awareness and trust.
Learn what it means to be a whole human being — welcome all of you in heart, body, and soul. Transform fear, shame, and conditionings around who you are as a being and step into your greatness.
Learn the vast difference between having sex and making love.

A Place That Has Always Known How to Hold the Heart
The retreat venue sits in a secluded valley on the slopes of Mount Cangshan, surrounded by 50 acres of farmland and gardens. Every room faces the sacred mountain, with floor-to-ceiling views that bring the landscape into your daily life. Private ensuite bathrooms. Your own balcony. The sound of birdsong and running water as your morning alarm.
Surrounded by lush forests, sweeping mountain views, pristine nature, and ever-changing magnetic cloud formations, this deeply spiritual landscape supports profound personal transformation.
For foreigners, Dali is often described as the discovery they didn't know they were looking for. It is a place that teaches you — before the retreat has even begun — that a different way of living is possible.
Additional Activities: Multiple local experiences are available, including rose cake baking, traditional tie-dye crafting, and Mount Cangshan hiking.

We recommend saving this link on your phone before travelling as Google Maps may not be accessible in China without a VPN.
Do I need a visa to travel to China?
Most nationalities require a tourist visa. Upon registration, we will provide an official invitation letter to support your application. Apply at least 4–6 weeks in advance through your local Chinese embassy or consulate.
Is China safe for solo travellers and foreigners?
Dali is one of China’s most welcoming and internationally visited cities. It has a long history of hosting travellers from across the world and is considered very safe. Our team will provide full pre-arrival support and a pre-retreat WhatsApp group where participants can connect and even coordinate travel.
What about the language barrier?
Dali’s old town and tourist areas are well-navigated without Mandarin, and our venue and team will handle all local logistics. We recommend downloading Google Translate (offline Chinese pack) before arriving. Our co-facilitator Charcy is native Chinese and will be on hand throughout the retreat.
Can I extend my trip and explore China before or after?
Absolutely — and we encourage it. Yunnan Province alone offers extraordinary destinations including Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri-La, and Kunming. Many past participants have turned the retreat into a 2–3 week China adventure.
What currency is used and how do I access money?
China uses the Chinese Yuan (CNY/RMB). ATMs accepting international cards are available in Dali city. We strongly recommend setting up WeChat Pay or Alipay before arrival, as cash and card are rarely used in daily Chinese life.
Our programs and workshops are designed to foster personal growth, connection, and exploration in a safe and respectful environment. We want to make it clear that nudity or explicit content is not a part of our offerings. We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming space for all participants to feel comfortable and supported throughout their journey with us.
